My name is David Ceccato. In my third year of chef
apprentice at the University of Guelph.
There are so many topics on nutrition, but that one that has
interest me probably has to be
Diabetes. I have been around diabetes all of life, my nonno
and mom have batter with diabetes most of their lives. I see all of what
diabetes has done to my nonno and mom.
Diabetes has two types 1 and 2. Diabetes type one is
autoimmune disorder, which means it destroy the beta cells in the pancreas
Result of type 1 diabetes is autoimmune disorder. With
diabetes type 2 there are only couple reasons
Why diabetes happens. 1st reason body can still produce
insulin but it doesn’t work properly, this means the body is resistance of insulin
The 2nd reason for type 2 is that insulin in pancreas can’t
produce that good it decreases. Which means insulin deficiency?
The biggest reason that I made sure to do a lot of history
of learning about diabetes was to help my nonno and mom, they both had been
Diagnose with type 2.
With all of the nutrition topics that I saw listed on
nutrition facts.org. I would really like to learn more about the following
Nutrition topic of plant-based diets. I choose this topic
because it has some familiar with people who have diabetes I didn’t
Know that about plant-based diets, always curious about
plant-based diets. I hoping by time I am finish the first semester of school I
be more knowledgeable about plant-based diets, I know they can reduce the
following and that is high blood pressure and heart disease.

I definitely agree
that nutrition is starting to play a role right now in the culinary industry; I
feel that it will get better in the future. I say this because people are
starting to be little more careful about what they are eating. I for one
example am trying to be more careful what I am eating. I had a little medical
issue last summer it was scary.
I say this because I think the next generation we have a lot
more history and information on nutrition going forward. Or it Go that in the future it might not be easily affordable to
pay for more nutrition in food for some company’s everything going
To get more expensive or we won’t have all of the resources
to work with, demand might be high.

Was because of following reasons. The WHO website is
governing site, doctoryourself isn’t governed.
I couldn’t find out author for who website but it could be
headquarters in Geneva.
The qualifications of author for WHO I don’t know you set up
website but it has to be executive board of the world health assembly,
And qualifications for Andrew W Saul apparently have 40
years’ experience.
The WHO website has a lot of different reference on how they
help other countries out for, here are few resources from the who list
Vaccines, clean water/sanitation, nutritional I would say
they help with in countries that need are in need of healthy foods
The doctoryourself website I couldn’t find many great
resources there so much going on its all over place, I wouldn’t want to get
information
From that page, I would rather go to WHO website for
information.
